Hi, I’m Rodel, a former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) for 12 years and an engineer who transitioned into a full-time freedom hacker coach after attending Coach Richmond Dinh’s event in September 2023.
In 2018, at the age of 31, I quit my 9-5 job to become a full-time network marketing coach, speaker, and product distributor in Qatar.
After gaining experience with various network marketing companies and leading as a coach, I decided to return home to the Philippines and currently run my coaching business here.
Not only that, but I also helped my wife quit her 9-5 job, and now we’re both coaching full-time, free from the past 12 years of working overseas.
It may seem like I’ve been doing this for a long time, but in reality, it’s only been 3 years since the pandemic started, and I wasn’t always an online coach.
Five years ago, I was an engineer living in Doha, Qatar, working a mundane 9-5 job.
Yes, this job gave me comfort, security, and social status to a certain degree.
However, it did not provide any personal growth. Every day was the same, and I felt unfulfilled. After 12 years, this feeling of unfulfillment grew until I started questioning life’s purpose.
I’ve always felt there was more to life, and that questioning led me to personal development.
Though not religious, I do believe in the universe and a power greater than ourselves.
I stumbled upon an opportunity where I met my wife, who introduced me to the parable of Bruno and Pablo, and that’s when everything changed.
As an engineer, I was respected, earning nearly $50,000 per year in a safe, secure job. But it provided no growth. Following my wife’s advice, I realized I needed personal growth, like we all do.
That realization sparked an obsession with personal growth. I started exploring opportunities like affiliate marketing, MLM, crypto & forex, attending programs, reading books, and eventually receiving personal coaching.
After 3 years immersed in personal development, I knew I wanted to become a coach. I felt a clarity I had never experienced before. I sought out the best person to train me, and fast forward to today, my business has grown exponentially.
I developed my coaching business not only for my own benefit but also to help OFWs transition from 9-5 Job to freedom.
I share this story not to boast but to emphasize that life is too short not to pursue what you love. If you have a passion and mission for something more in life, go for it. The worst place to live is in regret.
I was once an introverted engineer with no speaking, coaching, or sales skills. Public speaking was my #1 fear. Everything I’ve achieved, I learned. I stand before you today, proud and grateful, aiming to inspire you. If I can do this, so can you.
May this story inspire you.
